Forming the Room Pool

To be sacred, austere, welcoming

was always the goal.

Not expected, yet so anticipated.

Not comfortable, yet so settled.

Frightening like the era.

Eerie in how normal

it was, how discomfiting

it was—pandemic gestation.

New gardens.

New prospects.

Nothing could be usual.

Everything was fuchsia and

naked pink in the pool.

Fitting the Wolf Moon

It’s called that because wolves

howl more in January.

It’s the language that protects,

connects the pack.

Moon mother howls.

Moon parents breathe to

prepare for the rebirth that

comes with creating life.

The celestial Wolf Moon responds

glowing seeping through

the curtains—howling light.

Nothing was usual.

It was a benediction waiting

warm blue in the pool.

Finding Vezi Moon Wolf

Embraced, its star-borne energy

releases what no longer serves us.

Full Wolf Moon is also called:

January Full Moon

Freeze Moon

Cold Moon

Frost Exploding Moon

Yet, just one name fit this moment:

Vezi Moon.

Coming into a benevolent light

peaceful, anointed.

Swaddled in the colors of love.

Bestowed with more meaning

when the Wolf Moon returns.

Nothing is usual.

Suddenly, yet not instantly, greens

grow gold in the pool.
